Ruta Di is a London-based vocalist, guitarist and composer working within contemporary jazz and cross-genre music. Walker Jazz Magazine (Japan) described her as “a hot topic for her spunky guitar skills,” highlighting her distinctive presence as both an instrumentalist and bandleader.
Her work is characterised by virtuosic guitar playing, instrumental vocals and strong ensemble writing, bringing together improvisation, texture and melodic clarity. Ruta’s music has received support and recognition from platforms including BBC Radio, Jazz FM, D’Angelico Guitars, and Women in Jazz.
Ruta recently performed at Cheltenham Jazz Festival (Jazz Arena Stage), EFG London Jazz Festival, and Rochester International Jazz Festival (USA), and was selected to represent emerging England-based jazz artists at the Jazz Promotion Network Conference. She has also received funding from the Lithuanian government (2025) to support the creation of a new album.
